The hometown of the major Italian sculptor Antonio Canova – with its Gipsoteca (a collection of Canova’s plaster casts) and imposing temple – is at a short distance. On your way back, have a stop in front of the Villa Maser by Palladio and once in Bassano don’t miss the Ponte degli Alpini.
